Greece : Le Corbusier - three reminders to architects

THREE REMINDERS

Three reminders to architects of Le Corbusier and his book towards a new architecture are MASS, SURFACE and PLAN

Mass
He think primary forms are beautiful forms because it can be clearly appreciated and architecture today seeks out to a more complex forms.

Surface
Suface enveloped mass and this gives mass its inviduality.

Plan
Plan is a generator and is the starter of any building

One of Le Corbusier’s work was the ‘‘Domino House’’ (1914-1915) in which became foundation for most architecture in the next decade. ‘‘This model proposed an open floor plan consisting of concrete slabs supported by a minimal number of thin, reinforced concrete columns around the edges, with a stairway providing access to each level on one side of the floor plan.’’
Everything was perfect organized and full practical.
